About Me
My name is Richard Davis and I am the owner of Boise Shutter Light Photography in Boise, Idaho. Photography has always been something that I've enjoyed and have always had a creative eye for. It amazes me when I look around and see all of the beauty that God has created. There are such vibrant colors and beautifully painted landscapes everywhere. Photography allows me to share a portion of that beauty to others.
I have a very diverse background in photography to include: real estate, nature & landscape, weddings, sports, portraits, commercial, photo journalism and stock photography. My background also includes digital editing and graphic design which I have been doing since the mid-80's. I have found that I truly enjoy working creatively with people and capturing life's moments.
My wife, Connie and I started our first international adoption in October of 2005. We travelled to Jiangxi province in China in February of 2009 to bring home our precious Emily. We both love being parents and can't imagine our life without Emily. It seems like she has always been a part of our family. Connie and Emily often help me on shoots as my photography assistants.
More recently we have been accepted into the Ethiopian adoption program and are expected to be travelling in early 2012 to adopt another child. Emily is very excited to be a big sister and we are all anxiously waiting for God to prepare the perfect match for our family.
